time + motivation + luck/skill = success?

Hi Lp. I've played online before but I never really put much effort into it. The problem was I didn't really enjoy playing it that much. I've started playing again recently and I'm finding an enjoyment in the game I didn't have before, so that's new. It probably has to do with the fact that I'm thinking a bit more now.
Currently I'm at 10nl, but hopefully within a month I'll have enough BR to play at 25nl. I hear that it's a lot harder now so I'm a bit nervous. I might end up just having particularly tilt filled session and blow my entire BR in one fell swoop. I don't think I'd be that volatile but I won't rule that possibility out entirely since I've had that happen before. Controlling myself when I hit my first big cooler will probably be the first real test to see whether I'm capable of success.

I'm hoping that I'm the type of player that learns the game fast enough to move up the limits at a decent rate. My sessions are usually a couple hours long and on good days I have about 3 sessions I sit through. It's still not entirely unusually for me to feel like crap due to tilt at the end of an unlucky string of beats. Clearly I haven't been desensitized yet to all facets of the game. Still, after I let my emotions settle I start feeling like playing again and I do so with a clear mind so that's probably a good sign. Game play wise I'm pretty satisfied with how things have been going so far. I'm playing a lot more intelligent then I was when I quit. I guess a lot of the stuff that I thought I understood then I've internalized now due to the natural incubation effects of time. I've also noticed a decent rate at improvement since I've started playing so far, at least relative to before. Hopefully my game will continue to improve at this rate.

Well, thanks for reading my introduction. I'll be posting updates here whenever I feel I've gone a few more steps forward. My intention for writing this is that I hope it will be useful to me in the future as a way to look back on things. Other then that, if you have any insights to share about the current poker environment, or whatever, I'd really appreciate it.

Seeya later LP
